Last year I pulled out the old roof vent and installed a frosted plastic Fan Tastic Vent www.vintagetrailersupply.com/Fan_Tastic_Fan_p/vts-414.htm with built in 2-way fan -- it's a nice unit. Until recently I had not figured out how best to power the vent. I had run the black and white wires from the vent down into the top shelf of the cabinet that's only about an inch from the corner of the vent. Looking around online I found that Cabelas.com has a very compact tinyurl.com/yk8epme 12v battery. The price was right so I got two and a charger for around $50. After I charged a battery I hooked up a couple of alligator clips to the fan wires and connected them to the charged battery. Worked like a charm! (The link above works now)
