I say future with a ? because 300 lbs of Astrodome tongue weight concerns me, and I would have to find a hitch for the car, but it sure would look cool. Attachments:

Color coordinate your trailer and that ride and all heads will turn. Must be some kind of shock set-up that can accommodate the tongue weight. Good luck...great looking car.

What a cool car!! Hope you can make it work. I know I'd love to tow with my Chevelle but I refuse to paint it yellow to match the Astroflyte (:

Tanya, You can always "escort" a lady after 6 when wearing black...and Coralee will most certainly be a lady when she is coral and cream...so the Starliner's color is appropriate no matter what gender you attribute to her/him...Kel is your Chevelle a him or her? kto17 what gender are the Riviera and Astrodome and what are their names/

I have considered putting a hitch on my Chevelle too. I figure a load distributing hitch would be required and probably helper shocks. If that don't cut it, then cargo springs would be in order.

Helper shocks most likely would work. Remember back in the 50's and 60's not every family had a truck and they pulled trailers with whatever they had. Thats why my 69 Firebird still had a hitch on it when I bought it. It would look cool behind the Chevelle.

The positraction rear end "fell" out of my '95 Z-71 4X4 towing vehicle a couple of days ago, after only 180,000 miles. $1675 for a replacement pulled directly from a junkyard donor with only a 30 day/3000 mile warranty. Already have a buyer for the Z-71. You bet I am now looking for an older Willys Jeep or station wagon to be my next pulling vehicle. Won't get any better mileage than the Z-71, but gotta work the coolness factor in there somewhere, now that I am changing adversity into opportunity. Guess the yellow 3-cylinder '93 Geo Metro LSi convertible is now my daily driver. Pontiac had a similar model also made by Suzuki called a Firefly I believe, so I refer to the Metro as the "Firefly"...neater name than the Metro...diamondrelics, know of any old solid running fairly priced beaters I can work on that might meet my tow vehicle requirements? Lack of rust is a much greater concern than beauty...fins on a wagon would also be a big plus...lol!

You know an old Willys wagon would be a cool tow vehicle. I use to drive one in High School. I'll keep an eye out.

Because the Riviera has coils in the rear I think I would go with bags. I think the trouble would be finding a hitch that can handle the tongue weight. It might have to be custom made. I measured 300 lbs and that was not loaded. Bruce, I haven't decided on a color for the Astro but I am leaning towards factory color scemes like a turqouise color similar to the countertops for under the stripe or a bright red. Because we live in UGA bulldog country red might be a better investment for resale. I'm going to polish the stripe and windows and just do white above the stripe. I have always refered to the her as the Silver Bullet and weighing in at 4,000 pounds with 325 hp and 445 ft/lbs of torque she is more like a silver freight train, but she is quick for a full figured girl. With curves like that the Riviera had to be a girl! We are considering painting the Astro red and call it the Dawg House. I guess that would make it a him? For now we are calling it Shasta-saurus. Found out yesterday with our first heavy rain that the Astro has a very small roof leak that didn't show up in light rain. It appears to be coming in at the vent, and its the one with the 110v fan in it. I guess we wont be camping in it as soon as I hoped.

I had a Willys Wagon that was rough. I was going to restore it but sold it when we moved a few years ago. Check Craigslist around Atlanta. Here is a cool one I have been watching that needs a little love. atlanta.craigslist.org/nat/cto/1980866114.html

Just some info on my Riviera photo. That is from our Wedding. That is my lovely wife in the background. Her Dad sold me the car a few months before we got married and we used it for our getaway.

diamondrelics and kto17...Yep, that is what I had in mind. That seems like a pretty decent price. With the curve to the back window, there is almost enough surface to mount a set of mini wings on that one...wonder if I can get it back to Mississippi before tuesday morning...

Thank you Bruce. Let me know if you find a Willys in my area that your getting serious about and I will try to help any way I can, although that may only be pushing it onto a trailer

kto17...I appreciate the offer...I think it is definitely a style tow vehicle that can fit my needs, and the space in back can carry a lot of camping gear or extra tires, jacks, tools etc. when towing to a ralley or when dragging yet another one home.
