You are more then welcome to drop by. In fact, stay for the Saturday Night Pot Luck Dinner, There is ALWAYS more then enough food.
We always have people dropping by to check out our campers at these gatherings. Some getting ideas of what type would fit their camping needs, others looking for fresh & new ideas and some just want to road trip for an afternoon & meet some great folks.
Will you be driving your wagon? ;D

We have 20 trailers attending our End Of Summer Fun at Devils Fork State Park in Salem, SC. There are still a few sites available. Get 'em before they are all gone.
As time draws closer, I will post more info on the Friday Night Rib Throw Down and the Saturday Night Pot Luck Dinner.

20 trailers, that's great. I wasn't sure if many people were attending because there wasn't much response to the thread. We stayed at Table Rock (about 18 miles away from Devil's Fork) a few weeks ago and scoped out our future campsite - liked it a lot... nice and shady. See you there, I'm already hungry for ribs and pot luck.

As time draws closer, it's time to talk about the food!
For Friday, we are wanting to have a little cooking fun. We are wanting to have a "Campground BBQ Ribs Throw-Down". For those who would like to join in, here are a few simple rules: #1: Bring a Rack Of Ribs (baby back, spare, short, etc) #2: Bring a small side dish to share with all of us #3: Ribs and Side Dishes will be prepared and cooked at the campground. #4: Bring YOUR grill or other means of cooking (dutch oven, crock pot, smoker, etc ) and we will ALL cook together at a site or sites To Be Determined and pig out around 6:00pm. We have had similar meals done this way and it is by far the BEST way to socialize. So get your Grillin' caps on and pull out your best ribs recipe!
As for Saturday Night, we will have a traditional "Saturday Night Pot Luck" dinner. Prepare enough for your crew and two more people. This will be plenty of food, trust us! No one has ever gone away hungry ;laugh; We would like to eat around 6:00pm at a site To Be Determined.
Drive safe and we will see everyone in a little over a week.

I'm glad that I booked early, the campground is booked solid. It'll be fun to see how many vintage campers are there (trailers, too). The Shasta is washed and it's time for me to head to the meat market and pick up some ribs. See you in Devil's Fork, South Carolina!

I just posted pictures of most of the trailers, that participated in the Tear Jerkers rally at Devil's Fork State Park, on my blog this morning. www.vintageawnings.blogspot.com I believe the Georgia Chapter of Tear Jerkers is going to be at Cloudland Canyon in Georgia, the West Rim campground, this coming weekend. We were just there over Labor Day weekend and had a great time.
