Simply amazing restoration! I am in awe of folks that can bring something like that back to better then showroom condition. Maybe when I get done with the trailer will I think about trying that kind of project... our59deville.blogspot.com/

Thank you all for the gracious comments,,we have thoroughly enjoyed having the wagon back on the road again and have logged over a thousand miles since it's completion. Now the next phase is to locate that early Shasta to complete the package. The photo below is my wife and her mother taken in approximately 1956,,the wagon is in the background. HRP

Your Ford is FANTASTIC and will make a great tow vehicle. I have a 1941 Plymouth P11 Sedan that I will tow my 1500 with and plan to trim the trailer to match the Plymouth, when I get the trailer done if i live that long. My trailer is a 1968 toaster but I think it will still be a winning combination. I belong to Inliners International so I stayed with a late model inline Chevy Six modified with a 700 R 4 and a 9 inch ford rear and 4 wheel power disk brakes but kept the exterior stock. I have been towing my T bucket with it the last six years with no problems. Since the Shasta is lighter I expect it to do well towing it also. Did you or are you going to add Air to the wagon? I put a vintage air hvac unit in my Plymouth and love it. That and cruise control make those 12 hours a day trips easier on a fellow, also makes my wife much happier. As we know if momma ain't happy nobody is happy

That and cruise control make those 12 hours a day trips easier on a fellow, also makes my wife much happier. As we know if momma ain't happy nobody is happy Originally the wagon was heater/radio delete and had rubber mats,,basically a stripped down model for 1954. The car now has heat and air that I modified to appears as though it was done from the factory and put the vents in the dash. Here are the build pictures if your interested. public.fotki.com/hotrodprimer/hotrodprimer-1/
