I found some aluminum tubing at my favorite hardware store. I also picked up a few stainless steel washers to go on each end of the aluminum tubing, in hopes to keep the aluminum tubing from being pushed into the siding or into the wings.

I found some nylon spacers in the specialty hardware bin at a local hardware store and put a stainless steel washer on each end like Ross did. When i got my camper the screws had been tightened down too much and sunk in the side of the wings. I took them apart and made a spacer from small plastic water supply line for your home sink and put in the wing then ran the screw through it to keep the wink from sinking in.

Ours sat on top of the drip rail on the back attachment point, but we needed spacers for the two forward screws to "lift" the wings to the same horizontal plane as the back attachment.

Ace hardware had rubber bumpers shaped like a cork with a hole in the middle, that's what I'm going with.

our local Ace also has a black cabinet with fancy chrome nuts and chrome bolts and chromed spacers in various lengths.

We bought thick nylon spacers at our local hardware store. The 3/4 inch long, were perfect to keep the wings outside/on top of the J rail.
