Well, off I went to the DOL today to see if I could get a title transfer and license for the new trailer. I thought I had a title but the lady informed me it was just a registration. It is dated from 1997 and from the state of MA.
My question, I have the title and license from my other trailer which I am parting out...can I just use that? There is no sign of a VIN on this new trailer. I would have to go back to MA and try to get a title and then she said I should have it inspected by the State Patrol.
I am still researching but any help would be great.

Different states have different rules on titles. In SC, they will only issue a replacement title to the owner of record. They require ID and if your name doesn't match the one that's in their computer, you're out of luck. You have to have a properly signed over title., bill of sale and/or registration won't get a title here. I wouldn't go from WA to MA for a title they might not give me. If my paperwork got mixed up and I accidentally titled my good trailer with my parts trailer paperwork, I wouldn't turn myself in.

We bought our 1970 Shasta from MA also and I just registered it in RI last week. We only used a bill of sale because of its age. When we registered it the woman just wrote "rebuilt/salvaged" over most of the information so we only had to do minimum paperwork. I would try again with a bill of sale (if you have it!)
