Here is my super quick children's book review of A Camping Spree With Mr. Magee...
I saw this book on the VTS website and picked it up for my son Calvin...

We gave it to him for Easter and he seemed to really enjoy it. We don't mind reading it either which is a big vote from us. Anyone that has read that one annoying book several hundred times to your child knows what I am talking about.
The book has a rhyming cadence to it that is fun to read. Calvin is 3 so he likes that sort of thing. If your kid likes Dr. Seuss type books they will probably like this. The art is great. The artist put a lot of little vintage touches. Great colors and scenes. As an artist I can appreciate that.
I am really growing to hate the incredibly overused word "cute". BUT... In this case you would be hitting the nail right on the head and can use the word freely. It is a cute book. It is a good quick read that isn't too pricey. I would recommend it.
