Man... you guys are going to have so much fun!!! I wish I would have planned for this. I think that ya'll may have the beginings of the next Pismo Beach on your hands. Better start planning for next year for all of us kicking ourselfs that we didn't plan better. I'm from Florida and I would have totally would driven there for such an enthusiastic group. I am however going to the event in Melboure, we my be the only Shasta there. Sweetpea realy wants to meet her some of her sisters so if any of you locals want to come I think there is still a few spaces left. Just wondering..... anyone else kicking themselfs??

Site 98 just opened up for anyone who has been procrastinating! Today another site #112 also became available. You will need to call the office for current availability, because the dates are too close now for online reservations.

We are in Florence, SC and don't mind driving to GA or FL for a gathering. Our Shasta should be done by March, so I'll be looking out for details on a spring rally!!

See the rest of the pictures from McKinney at www.vintageawnings.blogspot.com We already bookmarked the March gathering. It will be our 20th Anniversary! Donald took out the leaking hot water tank today. Hopefully we can find a new one to fit in the same spot. We didn't let the soggy wet floor "dampen" our spirits, we still had a wonderful time with all of you at McKinney. Kristi Attachments:

Risgett, Discussed Susquicentennial State Park in Columbia, SC as a possible gathering place. Rustic type camping yet has clean bathrooms, picnic shelters, a lake, trails, playground and a dog park. We have been there several times. Probably a little over an hour from Florence.

Kristi, I've driven through the Susquicentennial park but never camped there. I remember it as being nice though and it's super close for us. Do you have a tentative date for this?

Potomac lives in Columbia,SC so I am sure they will want to attend too. So far, I am just putting a few "feelers" out there to see if any one is interested. All of the campsites are in close proximity, so any site is an easy walk to the rest. Maurice's BBQ is right at the entrance to the park too! Springtime, before it gets too hot, is what I was thinking about. You can reserve individual sites there, unlike some places. The last time we went they had a few improved sites, for larger trailers, up on the second loop. I personally like the natural sites though. It is about a 3 hour or so drive, pulling a trailer, from the Atlanta area.

I dont know that we would make that trip, google maps showing 4+ hours from our house not including any stops. If this were in March or April we would have just gotten back from a decent sized trip (for us) but well see i guess. Might work out.
Id suggest starting a new thread for this possible camp rally, not everybody will find it in this thread.
