I have a 1959 16ft Shasta without wings. I have been looking for information and/or answers to questions for over one year so there they are:
How high off the ground is the Shasta (mine has the axle reversed so it is tall)
Do they have one or two propane tanks
Did they have any type of insulation and if so what was it.
Is there a best practice to clean the catch on the ice box - mine is rather dirty.
How do you replace the rubber seal around the ice box and where do you find the material

Hi GZlouise,
Most Shastas have two LP tanks, but I convert my smaller trailers to one tank plus a battery.
Yes, they are insulated, normally a blanket of fiberglass, about 1" thick. It is often outside the framing just under the skin. Some trailers were built with a silver faced fiberglass next to interior panels.
Plug the icebox drain with a cork and fill with diluted bleach overnight. The seal can be replace with window seal, just buy the right thickness/width. I like the rubber bulb type better than the foam seals.
