I bought a 1966 Shasta Continental this morning.. Way too rotted for me to tackle this winter so I'm selling several items out of it and using the funds towards my Airflyte refurb.. The trailer has 3 interior wall lights and these glass 'shades' are in remarkable shape. Would I list them as 'sconces'? or 'glass lamp shades'? or...? Any input would be appreciated~

Hi there, Can you post a picture of the entire light? And tell exactly where those were at in the trailer? My 66 Super is missing all original fixtures. If those were original in mine, I am very interested.
It's one thing to look for parts you know you are missing, but even harder to find what you don't know that you should have!

LOL.. I know it.. Been there~ Just ran outside and snapped these.. The actual fixtures are not great.. They work, but they are rusty/pitted from years of moisture in the camper. They would need a good sanding and repaint to look decent~ This camper has a rear kitchen.. 1 light dead center over the countertop/stove and the other 2 are on either side wall~ Hope that helps~ Kev

Thanks for posting those. I don't think that would have been what mine had, even for the same year.
I have a missing light over the dinette, that would have to mount from the top, underneath the overhead cabinet. And same in the kitchen area, missing a fixture that would mount under the upper cupboard and hang down. In the back, above the couch that makes a bed, I also should have a light. That one would mount like yours, but I'm not sure what the style was.
Thank you for posting, I'll start looking through other people's pictures to see if I can figure out what style they should be.

I have a 1965 and the light over the rear couch is exactly like this one. Same shade and fixture so it's most likely original to yours also.

Kev...WTG!! Glad you decided to pick up the Continental...wish you could list them as "mine" but I'm holding out for the sconce with the fiberglass opaque cone shaped lights that were original to my '59 Airflyte...hope a member picks these up from you.

Yes, this is the one that was in Rowley MA. Jeff was a really nice guy..Had a 69 compact and a 71 Lowflyte in his yard as well.
I wish this camper didn't need a frame off rebuild, or that I had found it before starting my Airflyte refurb.. It is slightly narrower and slightly shorter but I love the rear entry/rear kitchen layout.
My Airflyte emblem is in fine shape.. Typically I put stuff like this on ebay for 99 cents with no reserve. That way they will sell for exactly what someone is willing to pay for them. I won't ask too much and look foolish, or sell something worth $100 for $10 (which I've been known to do in the past LOL)
I've got vacation time coming up next week so I might refinish the fixtures and then sell them as complete good looking units.
I also have the Bargman L66, the grab handle, the taillight lenses, the SHASTA emblem and a few other little things to sell from it.
I won't be listing anything till after Christmas but I'll post a heads up here then~

Total score, Kev! Great layout...but a LOT of work. Wish I could have grabbed that one since it's the perfect size (IMHO).
Good luck with all your endeavors. Looks like you have the bug REAL bad!

Hey Kevin,
Do you still have these? I'm interested if you can sell the base along with it. Let me know.
Thanks

Actually, I just refurbed one of them this weekend in preparation for sale.. Here's how it came out after taking apart the electrics/wiring and sanding the fixture, then repainting it with 'hammered metal' paint and reassembly~ and yes, I do have the mounting items as well~ I was thinking of selling them as a refurbished pair along with a spare glass shade.. so 2 repainted / cleaned fixtures and 3 glass shades.
