Question? Are the waste dump fittings always on the street side? Is there some reason for that?

thinking back to previous campground we have camped at over the last 20+ years, most campground dump stations are designed so that everything is on the drivers side. in fact there are some i know of on one way roads, you could not turn around to get your tank closer to the dump. also in campgrounds that have sewer hook up seems like they are always drivers side too.
dont know that you cant put it on the curb side, just wont be the norm

I've never seen one on the door side. Could it be because of aesthetics??

Sure wouldn't want mine on the same side as my door, awning and picnic table, especially in a site with hookups. Seeing as the electrical and water hookups are on that side too, it's like a back-of-the-house thing. I bet it also makes it easier to line things up when parking at the dump site, too. I wonder if the campers or the campsites standardized first? Probably works better with the black tank, too. Anyone ever see a toilet on the starboard side?
