That's pretty close to the one we bought at Lowes, except yours has real Stainless Steel fronts....ours has the stainless steel "look" But it will do what we want it to. It will be so nice not to be toting around a food cooler and a beverage cooler.

I was looking for low energy usage so that I could run it off batteries and not have to worry about the food while I'm at work. Didn't think I'd ever find one that used this little juice.
Much better (cheaper and less work) than all the alternatives I've considered, like building a super icebox, buying one of those small 12v compressor freezers and building a fridge box for it, building an Icy Ball, or even building a vortex tube-cooled icebox. Although I had some fun designing a box that didn't lose cold air every time you opened it...

Ross, I saw your post after I found this one. Yours costs less, but uses a bit more energy, 100 watts IIRC. I had to hunt for a while before I found a site that had the power data.
