Little Sundance is not a Model 1500 as first thought but smaller. Likely a 1400. I can find very little information on this Model and whether the only difference was the size. (EDIT: Well, yes she is a 1500). We (lol) are being very careful as to what is being upgraded to keep it as original as possible but still allow me to actually use it (as I didn't buy it as museum piece). Here is an electrical outlet placed to be accessible but inconspicuous. The restorer of my little gem wishes to not be named...due to a certain crazy neighbor who has made life miserable for them. But I couldn't be happier to have the trailer where it is....even though it's not with me.

I know your gonna be real happy with your upgrades. Outlets in the right place make life soooo much easier. I love all vintage campers but there`s something special about Sundance and a certain little camper which vikx has in their personal collection, imo. I hope to get to see them both in person one day!

Susan - you're not the only one anxious to see trailers in Vikx collection...and I WILL be there one day. Electrical work is moving fast...and what has been completed is working.

Somebody tied knots in the curtains. TACKY. Best thing to do when running wires. They tend to get in the way, plus, hopefully the power was shut off and you need light to run wires. I imagine that the restorer will press them before sending Sundance down the road. ;D ;D ;D

Vikx, you're such a curmudgeon! And by the way, do you ever sell your trailers or just hoard them like old ladies that hoard cats or dogs?

Me neither! He He! Have you actually seen Sundance? or only in pictures? I`m sure you must have said in another thread, and I missed it. Either way you must be really excited. And just in time for Summer.

Susan, I have not seen her. Just pictures...Between the seller and the restorer, I have hundreds of photos. lol... The good and the bad...although admittedly there isn't very much bad. I was way more nervous before it got to the restorer. Once it was there I had validation that I made the right choice. Excited? Nah...not much. ;D ;D

Well imo, Sundance is one of the most gorgeous things, I have ever seen. Bo and I refer to Sundance as "him" for some reason. Kinda strange, as normally I refer to Boats, cars and campers as "her". Maybe something to do with her name. Ya know, like The Sundance Kid!

You knew I was joking when I said "not much", right? lol...I'm making myself nuts and some others along with me. I'm happy that it's not just me that thinks she's gorgeous. Thank you. Funny that you should mention the Sundance Kid - I sent someone a pic of a very similar looking trailer that I referred to as Sundances' twin..and they asked if I was going to buy it (uhhh, no) and call it Butch. It's getting these pics that keeps me partly sane.

Oh yeah! I knew you were joking. I`d be chomping at the bit, not sleeping, not eating and shopping, shopping, shopping for "Things for Sundance". Plus I would have a site reserved in every campsite within 200 miles of me for the next 6 months lol. Do you plan on sleeping in him on his first night home? In the driveway! LOL. We`ve done it. Bet a lot of others have too.

Wish I could claim: *I* get to stroke her hide. EVERY DAY! <Evil Grin>
I think maybe I have Compulsive Hoard Old Trailers disorder...
I'm cranky and possessive. So yes, I sell a few. And keep my silver canned hams. They like me.

There is NOTHING wrong with having a boy. If it weren't for boy canned hams, there wouldn't be any girl canned hams! (Man, I HAVE to stop anthropomorphizing.) It's funny, though, there was something about Hamlet that we noticed right away, there was no way we could have given him a feminine name. We have a little 1987 Bayliner runabout, and we've never checked "under the hood" for gender, so although we don't know its gender, we DO know it has ADHD!

I have even boys and girls right now... they name themselves: Reed, Handsome, Sting (the Corvette) Scamper, Turk and Swamper are the boys... BB, Birdie, JoJo, Belle and Sun are the women... The Cardinal is transgender...so "she" counts as a girl...since I needed to even the batch. LOL

Susan Not certain if original. Vintage though. Possibly installed by original owner. More work completed. The Wave 3 was sort of a battle of wills between restorer and Sundance's owner. Owner lost...but will likely be very grateful that she did the first time she needs heat.

That's beautiful! Why are you complaining?? You will love this heater.
Forgot: the curtain is original. The little bar is very heavy and mounts on two hollow brackets. To get the bar down, you must remove the bracket screws...
Many unmentionable souls just break the bracket.

Beautiful install on the wave. Please convey my compliments to the restorer. If I lived anywhere other than the south, or intended travelling far a field, this is the heater I`d choose for a vintage. Do you have a delivery/pickup date yet?

Are you sure it's not a 1500.....looks just like mine. 1400's and 1500's are both the same length but the 1400 was 7'8" wide! I'm guessing there aren't many around because of how wide they were. This is from the model discussion on this site. MODEL: Shasta 1400 YEARS OF PRODUCTION: LENGTH: 14 Ft. WIDTH: 7 Ft. 8 In. WEIGHT: 1650 Lbs. HITCH WEIGHT: 245 Lbs. Read more: vintageshasta.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=specification&action=display&thread=261#ixzz1tMftykLiThe 1500 is 6'6" wide and 14 ft long.

The dimensions in the database refer to the later Model 1400, I'm fairly certain. I believe (and could be wrong) that there was also a Model 1400 made just prior to the Airflytes - at the same time the Model 1500 was made. The 1400 was slightly smaller in length than the 1500 but the width was the same at 6'6". I will try and find where I saw this information.
