I have, what I thought was the original Bargman L-66 on my '62 Airflyte, until the locksmith came to repair the tumblers (loose and worn and very tricky to open). He said the backplate had 'made in china' stamped on it. Could this still be the original? I am doubting it. Thoughts?

this has been discussed before, IIRC there is no proof of any counterfeit Bargmans, and the thought is Bargman may have, as a lot of companys do, outsourced the L-66 door handles to china, after a few years there is slight differences in them, the beveled edges are more pronounced on the USA made ones.

thank you for the quick reply! I simply didn't think anyone was outsourcing so long ago.
