We recently purchased what we think is a 1963 model 16', not including the tongue. It says Model 1900 in a closet.
It's a mess, so we a gutting it and starting over. Under the left seat of the dinette, there apparently was some type of tank. There's a 6" or so round hole in the wall (which the former owner badly patched with a plate). Can anyone tell me what this was originally? It looks like some type of vent.
Thanks, Karen

That looks right. So it's for a fresh water tank? It looked like some type of vent. I thought it might be a vent for the propane, something to do with the stove. This is all new to me. Thanks.

6" hole? Wow, that's a big water fill. I was thinking heater chimney. I hear some of the old ones had big vent holes.

Sounds like it was for the water heater. The fresh water tank should have been under the right dinette bench.

Which left? To me left is street side, right is curb side.

Left (street side) dinette would have had a water tank. Sounds like a PO added a more modern fill that is no longer there...
