We live in NC. The Shasta bug bit us over 3 years ago. That was when we found and purchased our '71 Loflyte for $175. It was not far from our house and we were so excited to get it, we pulled it home and immediately started taking it apart. Well it's funny how fast enthusiasm can turn into hard tedious work, so the camper has been setting under our carport ever since, with the restoration not completed. Here is our delimma, we have never taken the title to the DMV to have it changed into our name!! Will we be facing any problems by waiting 3 years to get it changed??? I would just like to know what kind of headache I might be facing when I go have it done.

not sure, but I think you will be fine, with a car they just ask you if you have been driving it, just explain it is a vintage camper and you have been remodeling it. I dont think it will be an issue, but you need to get it done.

Thank you!!! I have been sweating bullets all weekend thinking about it!!!
I did work inside it some yesterday painting the new luan and the old paneling. We might be putting it up for sale instead of finishing it so I am going this week to take care of the title first.

I made sure to take a lot of photos and post them to my blog with date stamps, that way I have proof to the dmv that it's been off the road and i was not living in it. I bought mine is January and not planning on registering it until I'm done.

Also tell the DMV you are going to sell it; they may have you wait to transfer it. That's what our DOL does if a trailer will be sold fairly soon...
