Contact: For more information on Coz and the COMET project, go to www.cometcamper.wordpress.com. To make reservations for this special event, go to www.brattleborokoa.com or call 800 562 5909. The event will feature Mariah Coz, a student of sustainable design and architecture, who also restores vintage campers. Her latest project is the COMET (Cost-Effective Off-Grid Mobile Eco Trailer). The COMET is an exercise in sustainability and small space living. Coz is turning a 1960s-era Avalon trailer into the COMET, featuring full-time healthy living space and a mobile classroom that is completely self sufficient, with no environmental impact. All materials used in the COMET will be sustainably produced or sourced from repurposed materials. Coz said the COMET is taking a holistic approach to house design, and will be healthy for both the environment and the COMET’s inhabitants. As part of this special weekend, The Brattleboro KOA is offering a special rate of 50 percent off the second night’s stay to those who bring vintage campers, classic cars or tiny mobile houses. Local enthusiasts of sustainability are invited to attend any daytime sessions at no charge. Please call 802-254-5908 in advance for a visitor’s pass. koa.com/campgrounds/brattleboro/
