Hi all, We are now working on the lights/wiring. When we discovered that the tail light was not working (don't remember which one), I popped the bottom panel of and removed the bulb to see if it was good. It looked good BUT try to get it back in. You can see from the photos posted here: s1079.photobucket.com/albums/w513/organize4u/that it is nearly impossible to get your fingers in to twist and push the bulb in place. I wound up prying the cover off; looks like it was caulked on. Now I see four black posts which might have been for screws from a different cover. I am thinking maybe the present covers are replacements. Any ideas? Also notice holes above each light from previous lights. Not sure what the original lights were. Thanks, Marie

This trailer should have had round taillights. Looks like someone pulled a switcharoo. Probably busted or rusted the originals and either couldn't locate replacements or didn't want to spend the $$$ Looky here www.swvca.com/Shasta_compact.htm

Updated the link, should work now. its for a 1970 model but the prior years had round taillights too.

OK; thanks. I was trying, for the time being, to leave the ones I have on but I cannot for the life of me figure out how to replace bulbs without tearing off (which I did) the lens. It's a crazy design or like I said maybe they put the wrong lens covers on to replace cracked ones?

Definitely not original. When I replaced mine there were no OEM replacement tail lights available so I settled for some rectangle ones similar to what you have. Then guess what? Right after I put them on, the correct tail lights came available. Ain't that just the way it goes?
