So here are a few thoughts for some times and activities. I'm just thinking out loud. Please chime in! Would anyone be interested in an outdoor movie night with popcorn if we can come up with a projector? Think kid friendly movies. Maybe a pixar movie. We like the adult humor they sneak in. Only problem is the sun won't set till about 8:30. There are a few wineries nearby if anyone wanted to go for a tasting. Habersham is near Helen and Hightower Creek is east of Hiawassee. I don't know anything about them so you may want to look them up. Young Harris has Brasstown Valley Resort with Golf and spa. Brasstown Bald, the highest point in Georgia is not far from the Campground and so is Anna Ruby Falls. Thursday Dinner - Fish Fry put on by Riverbend bring side dishes Thursday Evening - Early Bird Social (adult beverages) Friday Morning - Pajama parade because most of the kids arrive later? ;D Friday Afternoon - Cornhole Tournament? Could be on Saturday, Can someone bring their set? Friday Dinner - Meet and Greet, Wings and weiners for dinner. Why not? Saturday mid morning - Tour de Shastas Saturday day - Big Green Egg Feast (its taste testing) at the Fairgrounds for those interested Saturday Dinner - Pot Luck Sunday morning - Good Bye Brunch

After having fun with Diane & Steve's cornhole game we found one on CL...we won't go camping any more without it. So consider 1 cornhole game being brought. I also enjoy playing croquet and paddle ball both of which we generally bring. A movie sounds like fun and Pixar movies are great! Uh, can Tour de Shastas be Tour de Trailer as we'll be bringing our Covered Wagon instead?! haha We just love the space!

I love this agenda...especially the "adult beverage" part. LOL! Like the winery idea but don't want to miss out on the Green Egg deal. Kids would LOVE the movie night. Love cornhole but would be a liability to team members. LOL.

Speak of the devils, I haven't heard back from them yet! I may just have to call and let them know which spot is theirs! Ok, I'll work on finding a projector and a white sheet! I think we could just hang it from the side of a trailer, but I may be able to come up with a screen. Well, I guess it could be Tour de Al-u-minium. Sounds like you should be the Wagonmaster! I completely understand the more space.

If there isn't much interest in the pj parade, we don't need to bother. Like I said, any excuse to stay in my jammies . Sometimes every morning camping is my own pj parade ;D

With so much to do locally I wanted to leave Saturday as open as possible for people to go do whatever sounded fun. We could move the trailer tour to Friday evening and Saturday could be wide open till dinner time if that works better for everyone.

The people without potties may have one every morning! Don't forget they have a pool! Those of us with kids may have to go for a swim in the pool. The river is a little chilly! I forgot to mention, if we have any anglers there are trout in the river.

I like the idea of a Saturday morning tour of Shasta's. Perfect time to do it. The Big Green Egg thing I would think is an afternoon deal. Great idea's Doug!

I have a job site in the next town over and after work yesterday we dropped by the campground. I spoke with the owner and they are looking forward to seeing the vintage Shastas.
My parents are thinking about joining us in their AS. They had the campground hold a spot in Bs on the river for them. They wanted full connections.
If you are waiting to reserve your spot, don't wait too long. Other than what we have held there isn't much left along the river. As far as I know we only have 7 left being held for our group!

As far as I know 7-12 are open as of this morning. If those that have not booked but expressed interest book we will go over the original 12 sites. If we book a few more reservations they will let us hold a few more sites. There are a few random sites or small groupings we should be able to get. Since the campground is not real big they will be within walking distance. Hope to see you there.

On page #1 down a good ways I posted a list of reserved or booked sites. If you call and reserve/book one let us know so I can update that list. It should be current. See Reply #17 on Oct 22, 2012, 10:12pm.

Ok guys, Steve and I are in C7. get ready for some Corn Hole. I'm marking you down as getting there Thursday. If that's not right you'll just have to come a day early! Glad you can make it. I think I'll have to come up with a prize or something for the cornhole tournament!
