First Annual
Rally on the River 2013
May 16th-19th
Riverbend Campground
2626 Streak Hill Road Hiawassee, GA 30546
(706) 896-1415
We are very excited to welcome you to the first (hopefully) annual Rally on the River 2013. This is an informal rally so relax and enjoy! Because there are no rally fees, the only meal that is being provided is Thursday’s fish fry and hush puppies put on by the campground. Please bring plates, silverware, etc. for yourself. We have tried to leave extra time on Saturday for offsite trips to local attractions; please see the list below or ask around if you are not familiar with the area. The campground has WiFi so you should be able to look up any places of interest.
Feel free to stop by site C1 if you have any questions. I can be reached by phone, text message, or via email at:

All reservations must be made through the campground. When you arrive please check-in with the campground at their office as early as 2pm. Please stop by C1 to sign in and get your goodies, trailer sign, and name tags. We have all been given coupons for Vintage Trailer Supply and we ask that you use them. They track the use of these and it is how they determine how much goodies to send us next year or for the next rally, so no matter how small a purchase, please use them.
Please see the included Riverbend Campground Rules and Regulations. They are a small, 101 sites, family owned and operated campground. The staff is very friendly and excited to have us and looks forward to seeing all the vintage trailers. For information about the campground visit their website;

Local Sites to See:
There are a few wineries nearby if anyone wants to go for a tasting. Habersham is near Helen and Hightower Creek is east of Hiawassee. I don't know anything about them so you may want to look them up.
Helen is a fun little town with lots to do. It has an Alpine Village theme and is pedestrian friendly. If you go be prepared to walk because parking can be a difficult. There are plenty of little touristy shops and restaurants.
The City of Young Harris has Brasstown Valley Resort with Golf and spa along with Young Harris College and a nearby winery.
Brasstown Bald, the highest point in Georgia is not far from the Campground. Be prepared to hike/walk.
Anna Ruby Falls is a beautiful somewhat easy hike/walk to the falls with an observation deck at the falls.
