I bought a light bracket from VTS and there is a single wire coming from the bulb. When I tested it with my battery charger it didn't light up. Will it work when wired up to the rest of the lights? The re is no ground wire. Help?

the wire from the bulb is probably the hot wire, that goes to the hot wire, and the lights ground is though the bracket, that is screwed to the aluminum, that is connected to the frame, which creates the ground so no ground wire is required as each electrical connection requires a hot and a ground or a positive and a negative connection

Makes sense, but why didn't it light when I put the red battery charger clamp on it? Also should I scrape paint from the skin before attaching the bracket to it to get a connection? Sorry for my dumb questions

did you connect the black ground clamp to it as well? it requires both, just hook the black clamp on the license plate frame. I dont think you would need to scrape the aluminum, the screws that go through the skin should make contact for a good ground.
