well in planning my bathroom, I am installing a 12 volt vent in the wall to help get rid of the poo smell I bought a 12 volt computer fan that is 30 CFM, given the cubic foot of the bathroom, around 50 it should be enough. I will be covering the walls in the plastic FRP sheets, hence the small holes in the wall will be covered up. I ground off the four ears on one side,so it would fit in the wall, then used the other four ears to mount it to the wall, still need an inside louvered cover to cover it. the vent on the outside will exit under the wing, I still need a small 4 inch louvered cover to put on the outside as well. Here is the fan all hooked up and running

just an update, I decided to order a stronger fan so I will be replacing the 30 CFM fan with a 62FM fan, and I got both my vents on order Inside vent cover, I think I can make this work just fine outside vent 4.5x5 inches should tuck nicely under the wing with those half inch spacers and not be seen

I like the plan! I want to do something similar, the Deluxe has a window in the bathroom. I was thinking of two computer fans to go in the window. I'll have to look for high cfm fans.
Just curious if you have the cot brackets and if you plan to reuse them? I'm on the lookout for at least two.

I like this too... it should work quite well!
Might I suggest also putting some window screening underneath the outside vent cover, to keep the insects out and the bees from building nests in your fan while it is in storage. Speaking of cot brackets I could use only 2 myself....Gotta shop now...

good idea, some fine screen might be best. Sorry I pretty much gave all my cot brackets away on here a while back.

I had bee problems in the attic vents in my house, and covered them with screening that is a little heavier, made to be "pet-proof", resistant to dog toenails and the such like. I cover the vents from the outside and really cut down on the nests in the peaks. I think that the stove vent is stuffed full on mine now. Ants or bees or something have been in there over the past years, and I believe I'll be using the screen trick when I pull it apart to clean it out.... Too bad about the brackets, but I am not surprised they are gone. YOu have been working this plan to remodel for some time now...I like your plan...can't wait to follow the progress.

well today I wired in the on/off switches, one for the vent and one for the bathroom light got it done and hooked up a 9 volt battery to make sure everything works, and it does! here are the 1 gang boxes that are 1 inch deep. I wanted it centered over the window but there are to many studs behind it there. but this will work. here are my Fancy switches, after doing some research I found out you can use 120 volt switches with a 12 volt system, it works fine but you can not use the 120 volt dimmer type switches. fancy switches, notice the red LED lights (where my bathroom light will be hooked up) and the vent fan is turning, it all works as it should.

Well I got my 2 vent covers and higher powered fan in. the fan is much stronger with 62 cfm, you can actually hear the wind rushing out of it. and feel it hitting your face from 2 feet away. my inside vent cover is going to work great. I had to cut out the plastic ring inside to clear the fan, but looks perfect from outside and fits nice and flush. my outside vent is going to work perfect as well, I still need some buttle tape for it and paint it (probably when I paint my camper.)

Hm, not sure I'd want air from your bathroom hitting my face! But I like your installation anyway.

Oh, I assumed you were outside when you said you could feel the air hit your face from two feet away. I was just picturing that as... poo air.

So glad no one is allowed to poo in my trailers!! Heavens, if hubby ate chili, well lets just say it would take one of those industrial size floor fans LOL! Nice install though.
