Sweeeet Brother...5 times the lights and half the drain.. Or something like that. I've read your other text .. Your a counter too. I want to create a low "voltage" system as well. Ive just not done the homework yet. Good looking start.

Thanks, they only pull 2.2 watts each, I am going to hook them up to a 12 volt dimmer so I can adjust them as I need, which will also create less of a battery drain when they are turned down.

Life is so much better with the "dimmer".. I hate to see them go "replaced by the pigtail" but I'm sure that I have enough to live my life time... On island time, I had a friend that was running +/- 12 hours on constant (for test and record)4 nice bright lights.. I can not remember the luminous or watts, but they were bright and constant. Its was not "camp fire light or flash lights.. It was as if we we on the grid. 2 - 40 plus amp deep cell Marine bats and when the sun fell we had light in the kitchen and dinning / living area an could play cards and mop the floor.. smile this was in 2002 my man. Abaco islands and four -2 x 5 solars on the roof. I know that things have leaped strides since then...Please take notes because I am in the need of your know.. I want enough watts for light...A lap top, my party lights on the tarp.... (lol)

well, I got my lights installed today, they work great and are nice and bright, I think it will be perfect, I still have to add the white FRP ceilings and walls, which will brighten it up some as well. I just took these pics (no flash) and it is completely dark outside

just an update, I got my 12 volt light dimmer hooked up, works great no pulsating or flickering even on the lowest levels. here are my 2 light switches, one for 12 volt lights and one for my 2 wall sconces that are 120 volt.
