Hello, I'm looking for an ice box for a '58 Shasta Canned Ham. I'm in Arizona. I have a white original Princess stove. The only thing missing in my new Baby is the ice box so it would be great to find something period to fit the space. Thanks in advance for your help. Attachments:

This is how she looks now. These are the sellers photos from the ad. I'll be bringing her home this week so I'll post photos of progress. I want to restore her and make her look sweet. I also have a '70 Streamline Duchess I've been renovating and I currently live in her but I've been looking for a little Shasta to escape in...something much easier to tow than my Streamline so I'm really excited to find her and I can't wait to start the work. Everything works and I've been watching the videos on restorations of Shasta Canned Hams. Attachments:

I was under the impression that 1958 is when they started puting wings on the Shastas.

It depended on the model. bohemian has the original ham style, and those came without wings. There was a period of time when both styles were available (kind of like the '64 models, some of which were ham, others were "toasters"). When Shasta introduced the ham style that they kept until '64, the wings were a feature. I think there may be some of the oldest Airflytes out there that were built at the end of '57. We saw one in CA with a 1956 license plate, but we suspect that was a DMV error. Anybody else know of a '56 Airflyte with original wings? Maybe it was a "concept" trailer!

Mine doesn't have the wings. I don't know what model it is. I removed carpet to find original floors. This is my 1st Shasta. I have a '70 21' Streamline Duchess restoration, full timer. I'll use the Shasta to camp. Any info on my Shasta I love to hear. I think it originally came with an ice box & someone jacked the wood putting in a Dometic so I'll rebuild it for the ice box. It also has a cool original toilet I think I'll keep. Attachments:

Dometic will be replaced with the icebox. Not certain but I think an icebox was is what it came with originally. Attachments:

Who does this? It's just wrong. Oh dang... I was going to say if that original floor is in decent shape KEEP IT! There are ways of revitalizing those marmoleum floors but I haven't done one yet. Someone here may be able to help you with that.

I put down plush carpet interlocking 18x18 workout/garage room flooring from HD. It's anti fatigue, waterproof & insulating & not glued down. It's the perfect for a small trailer & cheap. $80. The tiles are thick so they they hide the rougher damaged edges. The floor doesn't have to be smooth. They go down perfect with all kinds of yuck underneath. I'll post some photos tomorrow. The floor has never been replaced & there's a lot of wood work to do. For now I'm applying a coat of Watco over the dry wood, making it cozy with bedding & working on the exterior, windows, tongue, etc. etc. It's nice that it doesn't visibly leak but it has minor water damage everywhere. There's silicone slopped all over the windows & trim.

Someone here may be able to help you with that. I'm keeping it there except in that last shot when you step inside, I had to cut away the original vinyl, it was separating from the floor & the white tile was glued to the original so what's left will stay even if it's not all there. The carpet tiles will cover it & they're removable.

Oh that's great. I know someone who would buy a trailer just for that floor if the floor was all there and intact.
