I have a 1964 16sc. Local DMV looked up the VIN just to make sure my paperwork was correct. It has a VIN of 4T5051. Plate on the side says North Ridge Ca. Plant. I have not been able to fine a T in anyone's vin from Calf. What's the deal with my vin? It's different from others, Washington did show a 4W in their plants numbers. Is there a T in the Grapevine plant numbers?
Thanks
Marty

Hey Marty,
Sorry for the delay in responding. Your Shasta's VIN that you have posted is not a typical Northridge, CA VIN# VIN's from Northridge have a prefix of ES, FS, GS or HS and then followed by by a series of 5 numbers.
If the 4 wasn't part of the VIN, it would be correct for a 1964 Grapevine, Texas Shasta.
Could you PM me a picture of the VIN number?
