Was wondering what kind or brand of caulk/sealant I should use in the corners of my Jalousie window frame that I am restoring? The old charcoal gray stuff is falling out as I clean them. I read some of the threads on the forum & ran across gutter seal. Is this right? Just want to make sure. Thanks in advance! Attachments:

I like using clear Lexel Sealant and I think that Vikx likes using gutter seal.
Everyone has their favorite.

I've heard good about both. I like the silver gutter seal because you can hardly see it... Great stuff.

I just went to my ACE hardware and bought their brand. Silver, dries fast, remains somewhat flexible for life, and comes in a tooth paste size squeeze tube. Mark

I'm using the stuff VTS sells, it's called Trempro 635. It's made for mobile home, rv, trailer manufacturing. There's a few tricks to using it.

Geocel. I like the screw on top and the color. The clear gutter seal is available at Lowes. The permanent seam sealer has a skinny spout and works well in narrow areas. Attachments:

I used 3M Scotch Seal Metal Sealant 2084. It is available form Mcmaster Carr and is a bit pricey but so far it is great stuff. Its silver, goes on easy and seems to really hold up. Attachments:
