Try again, please help me identify

I don't know their length. The red and white one looks similar to at 1500 inside, I think. It has a VIN of KZ 7927, and was supposedly manufactured in 1954. I don't know any facts about the other. I did take inside pictures of both. The red & white one is selling for $2500 and the other is selling for $1000. Any thoughts if this is a good deal or not? Would appreciate any input and identification. Thanks!

Sadly, I believe I've seen a similar trailer in my searching to identity my own, but I don't remember what it was. I will look again. As for whether its a good deal or not, I'd say that's really up to you. For $2500, if it's turn key and campable or showable, i'd say that's a great deal. It looks like a beautiful time capsule and could be lots of fun in the campgrounds. Plus, the mystery and fun of the search to track down its history could be exciting. But, if it needs a lot of rehab, or if you have your heart set on owning a Shasta, it could be money wasted.

I feel like I have that brand on the tip of my tongue. I love the look. Without knowing how much work is needed it's hard to say whether it's a good deal or not. I think it probably is a Jewel, even though it has a square vs diamond shaped window in door.

Not trying to contradict Gone Kayakin 's info, but I don't think its a Jewel. The swooped wheel wells are lumpy on those and yours is smoother. To me, it more resembles an early Kit Companion. I think you're right. Sure looks identical.

happy to stand corrected. The shape of the two are different though. This has double windows curbside that one doesnt. The sheet metal on this one is also different that both. Whatever it is it's early/mid fifties and if in any kind of decent shape it's worth more than a 60's trailer, $2500 may be steep unless you can get pics backing up the condition. You aren't gonna get a restored trailer for $2500 but you should pay that much for one that needs to be rebuilt either.

Thanks for the info. I could not figure out how to find this post until tonight. After reading your responses I enjoyed reading all about the repair for that jewel. Only problem is it only went to page 5. I did not see where he finished it back in 2010. Oh, well, still glad that people document for other people like me.

Back to the subject at hand, I have decided these two trailers are a little bit too big and cost too much. Still yet, I enjoy finding out about each model.
