So i have 5 missing windows on my new to me old (69? 70? who knows)shasta. Do I measure from frame to frame? or glass to glass(or where glass should be lol)? Ive been told just get plexi glass..its cheaper! But i found some ok priced used ones on ebay. Im not worried if they are vintage or newer used. Just want windows. Any advice? Thanks friends! JaLee

Are you missing just the window panes or the entire window frames that screws to the side of the trailer?

Can you post a picture of the window frame or email me directly? Click on the envelope under my Avatar picture.
If they are the 1970 Hehr windows, you will probably need to replace the U channel gasket, if it has shrunk or is brittle.

I don't know the manufacturer of those windows, so I would suggest that you remove them from the trailer walls and take them to a glass company to have the panes replaced. They will have access to the proper gaskets, as well.
As for the last picture of the frame that held an AC unit, I would replace that entire frame with a cargo door. They can be found on Ebay.
Wish I could have been more help.

The small berth window "camp win #5"is missing the entire window pane frame. I have several of these windows. Let me know what size it is and I will double check what I have.
"camp win #2" the lower frame should be a cargo door, as well as the one frame on the left rear bottom corner.

Hey, Ja, Here is what you have going on. Your first two photos are the streetside front access. The top would be a vented door which backed up to the refrigerator. The middle (was missing on my unit, and covered with a hinged piece of plywood) would have been the water heater...it had a specific cover to it. The bottom is a cargo door. The water and the 12-volt electrical system entered the trailer from underneath this corner. It is basically just access to the entry points.

Your rear window is different than mine. It originally would have had opening (venting) awning windows in the center section where the A/C is hanging now. There are definitely a lot better options for adding A/C to it if you wanted to keep it. It pounds on the framework underneath of the windows, among other problems. It isn't likely that you would be able to replace the awning frames in the center, unless the frames were still in the trailer somewhere. The lower part is another cargo door. In the original layout, there would have been a dinette seat bench inside, and the door would have opened in under that. It looks like your door frame may be intact. It is missing the aluminum that would have been the cover, and the lock mechanism. Looks like it was covered over with plywood from the inside. These cargo doors come up from time to time on ebay, and even may be available through some of the RV places, but sizing it may be a bit tough. The previous owner of my unit had rebuilt the framing in the rear wall, and covered the opening over with a patch (not pretty. But then, I also did not have a dinette bench there...).

This is the upper bunk window from the front (curb) side. Ross is correct, your framework for the glass is missing, even though the crank mechanism is there. You would not be able to replace the glass in that frame the way it is.
