Geesh, I go away for a few days and look at what I miss. I'm ashamed to share part of a screen name with this person. I wonder if she knows as much about kayaking as she does about trailers.
Mobiltec, Schweet, VikX, and Hamlet....she did certainly manage to pick an interesting bunch of you to pick on....but then it seems unlikely that she bothered to research your lineage any more than she bothered to check her trailer.
Kharma is a magical thing, I'm sure she will eventually get what comes around.

The good thing for me is that whether her karma catches up with her or not (I can't waste my time doing anything but letting folks like her provide a sigh and a good laugh.), at least I don't have to worry about mine!

Somehow, the "authorities" are less likely to believe harassment charges after being called names...

I am pretty sure the "authorities" referred to probably were higher-ups. I was all wilin' ta help, but couldn't find the number for the Internet Police.

schweetcruisers......that comment just proves that you do not know what you are talking about.
You stated: I assure you Mobiltec has "forgotten" more knowledge about vintage trailers than I'll ever know and you will ever know!
Forgotten...HA! HA! Now there is a true statement! I think you and Mobiltec have "forgotten" a lot. Seems like you are both getting a little senile. Especially how to be kind and give advise to new comers instead of instantly making rude comments and accusing them of being liars!
I quote mobiltec: But when they go on to a site and tell flat out lies about the condition of the trailer they need to be called out.... At least learn a little bit about what you are selling before you go around making outragous statements about the condition.
mobiltec: You accused me of telling flat out lies and I called you on it and then you have the nerve to post to everyone that you did not call me a liar! Everyone can see you were rude and called me a liar! That just shows your true colors!
nowaxn5: Thank you for that post: "As far as rare, I'm not sure what constitutes as "rare" but I know where there are several vintage Shasta's that need to be gutted and restored. A Shasta that doesn't need to be gutted, those are a bit harder to find".
That is all I meant by saying it was "rare" and then I read these rude posts from schweetcruisers and mobiltec aimed at me. Just two big bullies!
Isn't this site for helping and giving people good and helpful advise? Not make accusations that are not true when they do not even know me or what condition the trailer is in?
Do you want to call me on selling my 1959 Shasta to a lady who is flying all the way from Montana on Monday to purchase it? I sold to her for $3500. I'm pretty sure you both will accuse me of being a liar about that trailer too. I'm such a bad person I even offered to pick her up at the airport and take her to her hotel.
I feel I am a nice person and I do NOT lie or make untrue statements about the condition of these trailers. And, it is my right to buy and sell these trailers for as much as I feel they worth and it is none of your business!
I'm done with your non-sense!

You cannot comment about the truth of my last post because I called you on your rude comments and you can't take responsibility for them. That is why you won't respond.
You're just making yourself look like a bully! You made a statement that the trailer was; I quote: "a rotted mess".
I had a gentleman come over today that restores vintage Shasta's and he said that it was in good condition and it would not take much to restore it. So put that in your pipe and smoke it!
YOU do not know anything about this trailer so why make false accusations? Why?
Does it make you feel better about yourself bullying and cutting people down to make yourself look better? It certainly seems so.

Well the ad is gone so we can't tell what it said. Kayakher, these guys are actually very good people. I have had transactions with both of them and they were more than fair. Heck one of them gave me a part and shipped it across the US and told me not to worry about the shipping. Is there an explanation for the price difference? Did you do some work?
If you are not that interested in Shastas and just flipping trailers to make a buck maybe this site is not for you.
Not to deter you but I recently sold one of my Shastas and I advertised it on here. I had done some work and it need much more. It ended up selling on Craigslist.
In the end it is your trailer and you can ask what you want for it but as you have found this group is very protective and watches out for flips that are quick and have a big price difference. We all know people that have been taken advantage of so I hope you can understand the protectiveness.

YOU do not know anything about this trailer so why make false accusations? Why? Do you really think that one opinion makes us all look bad?? Would you not want a second opinion from our own trusted doctor? No one here may have laid hands on that particular trailer, but after the tens of thousands of photos I have seen and the ads with all the same claims you have made, the odds are about 99 to one that for the unsuspecting noob ready to hand you their money that they will be here in 3 months time trying to figure out why they can't figure it out. There are no false accusations here, because there is no 100% positive law truth. Besides all that your rants are very unbecoming and really point up your own insecurities, which really should be addressed somewhere besides a Shasta trailer forum.

When people feel the need to defend themselves, especially over and over, they generally know they are in the wrong. And, calling people old farts, senile etc.. I'm only 27, but I've learned that the older folks know a helluva lot more than me! It's just really immature and troll-ish to argue with people and call them names and pm them..
Hey you "old fart bullies", feel free to offer me any advice, knowledge, hints, tell me when I'm wrong... I like learning and I'd rather be told straight up when I'm wrong so I can learn what's correct!

This is all very entertaining to me....I remember when I first joined it was a place to research and make new friends who had the same interest I me. Everyone was so kind to me when I had my little trailer totalled and then I was able to purchase a new one from a fellow member who assured me about everything that needed work on it. I think the business of buying and selling trailers has become so crazy. I see ladies purchasing trailers all over the country and then they are not very educated when it comes to pulling their sweet little glamped up trailers to events. There have been several accidents within the last few weeks. I think it is maybe the 'thing' to do now to have a vintage trailer and head down the road to have fun with your friends. I just feel you need to know what you are getting into and that it can be a very expensive and time consuming hobby. I wish you all peace and much love with your trailers. See you on the trail!

to quote Ron White..."You can't fix stupid!" I personally have better things to do with my time than to argue with you Colette, you apparently have a few screws loose and no matter how much I state my case or my opinions you will always come back and call me names, and claim this or that to make you look better when we all know the truth. I've said this many times, Colette if you hate us so much leave, trust me you won't be missed!
