We tow with an 09 wrangler rubicon.. 6 cyl auto. It does ok, but it doesn't like inclines much

My friend towed her 61 Terry over 10,000 miles with a Jeep Liberty Diesel. That's the trick; diesels are rated to tow 5000 pounds...
The biggest problem was the rear spare tire, she had to use a 12" extension to clear the tire.

The longer the wheel base on the tow vehicle, the less problems you will have with sway. And a swaying trailer really sucks.

I would not do it. I have a 2003 Liberty. Just my opinion.
