As we work to clean out the old butyl and replace it along the edges we keep running into the same problem - the new butyl is too thick to put the panels back together. This had created any number of problems and headaches.
Solutions?
We tried really smashing down the butyl, but it is still too tight.
Can we just put a thick layer of gutter seal down (there would still be butyl between skin and j-rail)?
Really appreciate any suggestions.
