Is Light in cabinet original to '63 Airflyte?

We removed the cupboard above the sink and found these wires hanging. It is my guess that they were connected to a light of some sort perhaps so you could see what goodies you were storing. Anyone else have this or know if it is original? Thanks all!

There were wires in that cabinet in my '61 Airflyte. They went to the ceiling light over the bed.
