Is it possible to winterize a Shasta, say an Astrodome, so that you can use it year 'round--yes, even in snow? If anyone has any thoughts about this, I'd love to hear them.
Thanks, Carol Ann

What do you mean exactly by "winterize"? I would imagine if it was too cold (below freezing) you wouldn't want to use water in it and I'd just keep the pipes winterized even while camping in it. Otherwise, I would imagine you could just camp like normal and try not to freeze LOL! Maybe a small space heater inside?

Wanted to add...I saw there was a gathering in a place called Hell, Michigan. Yes, the town's name is Hell and the gathering is called "Cold as hell campout" or something to that effect LOL! It's in Feb, 2011. I'm thinking while camping that time of year probably wouldn't bother me too much the actual driving, towing a trailer would be a adventure in itself. I'd be too scared to tow one around here as I can just imagine sliding or worse on the road with a trailer. Not fun! So I think I'll stick to spring, summer and fall camping and leave the winter camping to the braver souls.
