I went to Home Depot on Saturday to order my formica and was told the Coral boomerang and I do believe Aqua as well are discontinued. I called Formica and they still have a few sheets in stock for special order. She said they will probably be discontinuing the other 2 colors in the near future. If you need it now is the time to get it. I was surprised at how cheap it was. $1.65 sq ft. I have the stock #'s for the differant colors if anyone need it..

I'm thinking I will want to use the boomerang aqua for my table and counter tops, right now they are the just the ice white formica. PM me the stock numbers and contact info for Formica, that would be great!

I got mine at lowes. ~$40 for a 3'x8' sheet. It was special order even then. They should be able to order it and shipping will most likely be free, mine was. Took about a week. Agua 6959 Skylark 6940 Coral 6941 Charcoal 6942 But here is the link to the Formica site just in case... www.formica.com/dna.aspx?color=6959&std=1Red Dirt

Red Dirt, was a 3 x 8 sheet enough to do the counters and table?

I ordered an 4 X10 from Home Depot. It was $70 with tax. I wanted to make sure there was enough for table, counter and the doors above the dinnette and maybe a little left over for over the sink. better too much than too little.

I just did the table. My counters still look pretty good. If I could find an exact reproduction of the counter Formica I would have done the table to match. 3x8 would not be enough to do the table and counters I don't believe. Red Dirt

I ordered mine from a local cabinet shop and paid $68 for a 4x8 sheet, I just laminated my table, cutting board, back splashes and coutnertop this past weekend; I'm glad I didn't wait 'till the last minute to order it like I usually do.

Home Depot called and my laminate is in! Glad I didn't wait either woodwright. I wont be ready for it for a few months, but felt that I shouldn't wait.

I ordered mine today from HD. $52.80 for a 4'X8' sheet+$18 shipping+tax. I called Formica a couple days ago and they told me that they still have a few sheets in stock for the Skylark. HD confirmed that Formica said they have about 20 sheets left in both 4'X8' and 5'X8'.

We were checking prices at Lowe's last week, not planning on ordering any yet since we won't be ready for laminate for awhile. Glad we stopped in because they told us that it was being discontinued. I had wanted the Coral, but they were no longer able to order it. We ordered the Aqua instead - 2 sheets of 30 by 96 and 1 sheet of 32 by 96 (for the table). We should have plenty to do the countertop, dinette table, outside table, cabinet sliding doors and a few other odds n ends. It was about $120 including tax for all that.

I just ordered Aqua yesterday from local HD. Ca formica warehouse has 35 sheets of 4x8 and not sure how many of the other sizes they have but imagine around the same.. Coral and Skylark discontinued in fall 2010, Aqua Jan 2011, Charcoal is the only remaining boomerang pattern in production still. It was $1.67 psf. I understand that retro countertop fabricators are stockpiling the remaining inventory and will sell it at a hefty profit.
So for 32 sf that's $55. Realized I'd said $16 psf oops!

When we talked to the people in the kitchen dept at Lowe's, they said it was odd that the boomerang patterns were being discontinued. They said that they aren't top sellers, but that they do sell well and steadily. It makes me want to stockpile a bit of my own countertop laminate in case we find ANOTHER Shasta to renovate! (gosh, maybe we should get this one done first...)

I just paid $98.00 for a 4x8 sheet of aqua boomerage, the last sheet in town. I have never paid that much for a sheet of laminate in my life but I wanted it and had no negotiating power with it being the last sheet in Edmonton. But I love it, I actually intend to use it in my Lil Loafer, I want the coral for my 62 Astroflyte.

OK, I'll admit, I'm hoarding it. When I found out that it was being discontinued, I bought 5 sheets, including the last sheet of coral. I used 1 sheet of aqua, so now I'm down to 1 skylark, 1 aqua, 1 coral, and 1 virrvarr.

I am also searching for the discontinued 6940 Skylark Boomerang (blue). Found some online from a place called barsandbooths.com so I called them up and they want $300 a sheet. Does anyone know of some for a better price?

As far as I can tell, there is no aqua boomerang available anywhere anymore. Aqua is a hard color to find. I got a sample of the sky tulle today from Arborite and Formica replied to me today that the aqua boomerang is gone. Any other ideas from anyone?

Does anyone have aqua boomerang that they would be willing to part with? I have the countertop, dinette top, and cabinet doors to do in our '62 airflyte.

I have checked Laminart, Wilsonart , formica and anywhere else I can think of.Do you have a full sheet of the aqua boomerang? I live north of Chicago. If it is rolled up like in your picture would it be possible to ship it? I don't know when I would be able to pick it up.

I totally understand what yo are saying but there aren't a lot of choices in the aqua color way. the marmoleum products aren't the right color for our project. As you had decided, the boomerang has a certain appeal that we haven't found in any other currently available pattern. I know it's been done a lot but for a reason I guess. i love your profile name 'gone kayaking' as that is one of or favorite past times!!
