Just curious how many VSTF members live in or around North Carolina? It would be fun to have a gathering this season.
We live in the most northwest corner of the North Carolina mountains.
Hope to see some of you 'round a campfire real soon, Ross

Good to hear from you, Brent. Are you around Shelby? What all did you need to do to your Compact?

Why don't you double check your schedule for the weekend of May 20-22 and plan on join us at Raccoon Holler in Glendale Springs, NC. for our "Spring Fling At Tha Holler" gathering. It's a little over 2 hours from Charlotte and in the heart of Christmas Tree country.

Hello. I've been lurking around here for a couple weeks and I just registered tonight. I am looking to buy a small travel trailer and hope I will have one soon. I am in Gatlinburg, TN and so I am not too far away from our NC neighbors for a rally! Sounds like it would be fun.

Our first campout with the Frankenshasta is slated for that weekend. We're staying verrrry local, though, at Jordan Lake, being overly cautious in case something goes awry. We're in Raleigh. If this is an annual event, we're in for next Spring! Dee in NC www.frankenshasta.blogspot.com

We live in Southern VA and just bought a Shasta, never had one, never restored one. Could use some local people who know their stuff!

Hey Jess, What part of southern VA do you call home? Are you closer to the mountains or the coast? What kind of work needs to be done to your Shasta?

"]http://www.southcarolinaparks.com/park-finder/state-park/1355.asp]Just made reservations for Devil's Fork State Park in Salem, SC for September 16-18. I read that 20 vintage trailers were already registered for that weekend, so I thought I'd see if any trailer sites were left. There are still about five sites left, but they are in a different loop than was mentioned. We will be taking our '68 Avion on this camping trip and even though we are in a different loop, I'm hoping the other vintage trailers won't be too far away. Attachments:

Hi, We just brought home a 64 shasta camper today! We are very interested in any shasta gatherings in the south east. We live in Winterville, NC about an hour and half east of Raleigh. As new vintage Shasta owners we look forward to meeting other owners and learning all we can about these wonderful trailers.

Risgett, If it would work for you take a look at the TCT rally in Rutherfordton, NC in April. It's in Western NC. Due to restrictions on young children and certain breeds of dogs it my not be for everyone but if your interested please check it out. Brent

Thanks blu26ovl....I'll look into it. Our dog is a viscious 4 lb Maltese and our kids are teenagers, so that shouldn't be a problem as long as our work schedules allow it. Are you going to it?

Hi! I'm in Northeast Georgia. I'm working on a 61 Compact. I bought it back in November and have been working on it ever since (it wasn't in as good a shape as I thought). Right now it is a skinless shell in my shed. Hopefully I will be done with it by fall so I can attend rallies. I love the Carolina's! I cant wait to go camping! Jill
