She is looking like she can't wait to go camping with you! You have done some nice work on her! I'm sure you will have a great camping season. These Shastas are like Lays potato chips...can't just have one...lol! Welcome to one of the largest chapters of Vintage Camper-aholics I know of!

I love built the upper bed. Very clever. Also the cushions and curtains turned out great! Oh and who says you can't pull it with a tractor. Is that a lawn tractor? It looks like ours except ours is red.

Nice snag on the Bargman 66. I hope to find one like that someday. I doubt that will ever happen.

Well the Bargman was a great find the top bunk for my son was built the same way the lower bunk is built and it uses the poles from the canvas bunk to hold it in place. it works as a nice storage shelf for things when traveling and when getting the dining table cleared of for dinners when inside. my new items are the rims and tires i had the rims sandblasted and put some new rubber on them while i had it all taken apart. I have some moon hub caps coming as well !!! Next is an awning and we will be set for the next round of camping

what did you use for the ceiling? I like the white ceiling,
and where exactly did you put in the piece of 3/4" square steel tubing to take out the bow in the ceiling, I'm sorry I dont understand that part.

Did yours not originally have the top bunk? We just got a 1963 Shasta that doesnt have it and only has a bottom twin bed so we have to rip it out and do a full on bottom and put in a bunk. It looks like you had to do the same? I love love love yours!!! We found ours on Craigs as well we live by Saratoga Springs Ny and it was in the town next to ours so it was worth having to do the updating since it was so close. How long overall did it take for you to do? We have to do the same for the upholstery stuff as well..

I had the 3/4" square steel tubing put in next to the 1x2 strips in the cieling next to the roof vent i just drilled 4 holes in the tubing and put screws thru to the 1x2 it takes the bow out of the cieling real nice and maize the top bunk was the canvas bunk so i wanted to get a nice bunk with a little mattress up there for my son . As far as the remodeling we took our time and it sat for some time in between so we played with it for 2.5 years before we took of for the first camping trip and we will be off for our second here in a couple of week!!!
