Check out this video. I'm not sure how I even found it but I think this would be neat to do to Daisy Shasta (using the 2 deep cycle marine batteries and inverter for power) as she did to her van. She apparently lives in her converted van. I find this intriguing. Hmm, maybe it's some sort of subconcious urge to have that kind of freedom to just hit the open road and wander where ever it takes me. But that is a dream for another time (a later time). www.youtube.com/watch?v=O_X0o9cAtGoHave any of you created a set-up like this for boon docking? Where you have power. This would come in very handy for me if I took the Shasta to a dog show for example. They let you park in the parking lot but most of the time there is no power to hook up to. So most run generators (I'd like a small generator too but not sure how big they are or where to put it).

Right now, I have one AGM (glass mat) battery stuffed under my oven. (there is plenty of room/no risk of heating the battery). I used the glass mat battery for these reasons.
1) It has the highest charge/discharge ability. 2) It vents very little (if any) while charging or discharging (did not want sulfur smelling gas in the camper) 3) It was free ;D
I just ordered a new charger from VTS to maintain it, and it will be easy to run my inverter off of it.
I ran a heavy 12v wire to the cabinet above the fridge to power an inverter when I rebuilt the Disasta
I added a small, 2 breaker box in the above mentioned cabinet when I rebuilt also. And I ran 12v wire to all of the original lights when I had it apart also. (The original lights will be dual power. 12v, or 110, whichever I need at the time)
