Sealant to use for dinette windows?

So I'm puzzling over the best way to seal in the fixed windows on the side of my shasta behind the dinette benches. These are the ones that are just framed in and sit right behind the skin.

I may have asked before but couldn't find the thread (am I going resto crazy.... ?) Anyhow here goes

Should I use the Hehr standard window seal around the edge?

What kind of sealant should I use to hold the windows in place (they are in now with clear silicone) which is a no no right?

If the gaskets are a no, what do I use to protect from leaks....can I just say these windows seem like a leak waiting to happen, though apparently mine didn't.

Household caulking, the kind that has that vinegar smell to it, is not the right stuff. This would corrode metal it came in contact with (acetic acid based). I am not sure what is best, hopefully someone will add in here... If I had to make a guess, it would be butyl - worked on auto windshields for ever.

Yes, the Hehr Standard seal is used on the aluminum edges. Wood strips actually hold the glass tight against the aluminum (and seal). You can use something like TremPro 644 and run a bead of sealant in the Hehr seal so it doesn't move around.

You could use vulkum or some other sealant to set the glass in. BUT... the glass needs to be tight against the seal for the Hehr seal to work. I wouldn't go crazy with it.
