Hey everyone, I bought the hub caps in this link..... I have a 66 that when I measured the wheels came to a 14". Although strangely enough, it had 13" tires on it?! At any rate, I need to get the right hub caps, but not sure what size! Thoughts? www.vintagetrailersupply.com/Vintage_Trailer_Hubcap_p/vts-374.htmedit: I have a 66 model 1500 - the size up from a compact I believe, which is what they use as a picture on the vintage trailer website.

yeah, a 13 inch wheel has a half inch lip all the way around where the tire and wheel overlap,
so a half inch all the way around equals a half inch on each side if you measure it across, so two half inches, make an inch so a 13 inch wheel will measure 14 inches.

FYI, just throwing this out there but this also kind of works the same with wheel width, a wheel advertised as 8 inches wide will actually be more like 8.5 inches wide, as the advertised 8 inches is the inside width where the tire mounts against it, then you have a 1/4 inch or so of steel wheel on each side of that so overall the wheel is a 1/2 inch wider, this matters when trying to tuck a big wheel in a small wheel well, or figuring backspacing when putting a big wheel/tire combo in a small area.
