so I decided to polish up my wings, they were not the best in some areas, things I done. I used sandpaper on most all of it starting with a 380 grit, then 600, 1500, then 2000 grit then wet sanding with 2000 grit, I used my vibrater sander on the edges where the slight riples were at on the trim sides where it was bent, this took out the high spots and made for a nicer looking trim piece. then, I went to Ace hardware and bought there #60 polishing pad that goes in a drill, and their #2 (it said for a factory style finish) they were out of the high shine stuff, it comes in a stick form. I also bought their finer buffing pad, but it would not collect any of the polish of the stick, as the #2 stick is pretty hard. then I polished it, making slow circular motions kind of slow with the drill on high speed, but with just enough pressure that the drill did not loose speed. it is turning out great, however I am anal, and will look tomorrow for some finer grit stuff for a mirror shine. (although now I can look into it and see my whiskers, eye balls and pupils) (yeah, I still have some over spray type compound to remove) and I want to note how smooth and shiny the edge of the trim is without the smashed spots from the factory bend on the front.

Nice! Very Nice! You are very thorough and it shows. Wish mine had metal wings.
