I'm sure you all know what I'm talking about. Just can't think of the name of it. It's that little part that holds your door open. I need one for the Compact. I looked on VTS site but didn't see what I needed. Any ideas on where I can get one?

Yep, that is exactly what I need! Thanks! I'll check with them when it's available.

Thanks guys! Universal, for some reason that eBay link wouldn't work for me.

Can someone post a photo of where this is mounted?

I've got a thing on the top of my door that is just a rod with a ball on the end that fits into a rubber-lined cup on the side, it seems to be just a bumper/stop, but I was wondering if perhaps when it was new it was supposed to catch and hold the door as well? I did noticed a wasp trying to make a home in it...

Kel, I suggest you research different types of door catches. Some work better than others on different trailers.

So, you open the door, and the thing clips over the edge of the door like a hook?
Ohhhhh, are those like the old spring-loaded teeter-totter ones with the roller at each end that we used to have on screen doors for the house?

It was a C-shaped piece that pivoted in the middle on the door jamb, with a roller at each end to protect the door finish, with slightly more room between the arms of the "C" than the thickness of the door. When the door was open, it would be rotated outward, so the "C" was pointing outdoors. When you slammed the door closed, it would hit the inner roller and pivot the whole catch so that the outer roller followed the door closed and kept it closed, with the edge of the door between the arms. When you opened it again, the door pushed the outer roller out with the inner roller following the door, back to pointing outdoors again. It had springs pulling in both directions over the "hump" of the halfway point, so that it stayed either open or closed until the door moved it again. You had to slam it pretty hard to close it, the return spring wasn't strong enough to beat the catch spring.
