I just purchased the one for my compact. Haven't received it yet. Will let you know how it is.
I sent the seller a question about it fitting over my wings and they said it would.

Thanks Mindy. I'm very curious to know the quality as I think that's a great price. I don't have to worry about wings as I don't have mine yet...they will be a gift to myself for finishing her reno...the very last thing I'm going to do is give Pearl her wings.

I just purchased one of these and I LOVE it. Make sure when you are purchasing you get the DELUXE version. (The seller offers two types, the standard being water resistant, and the deluxe being waterproof. Anyway, the entire top of the cover is 3 ply.. A layer of thicker plastic-poly type material sandwiched between two layers of resistant fabric. The three ply layer covers the whole roof, and comes down about 1 foot over the edge, where the two ply picks up. There are a few zippers, and three heavy duty straps that go underneath the camper to tighten it up. The pictures I took were taken after about 4 hours of sometimes heavy rain.. Still bone dry inside. NOTE!! I bought the 15' Scotty Gaucho cover, which ends up fitting my 65 Compact just right.. 150.00 with shipping but totally worth it IMHO. I took off the wings prior to putting on the cover.. Figured the winter would be a good time to shine them up. When ordering do you add any to the length, do you measure just the box?
(I read somewhere you needed to add a foot or two to accomidate a roof AC)

We ordered the 16ft for our 14ft SOB and are extremely pleased with the deluxe version. It covers everything...Has straps on front and back and a tie that goes under the middle. Two zippers accommodate different door placements. We had a pretty good windstorm before our last snow and the cover stayed in place and it was very dry underneath the snow. Stayed that way even after the snow had slowly melted. The shipping was very timely as well.

The DELUXE covers are the ones that you really want to use.
The Water Resistant covers are just that....water resistant, NOT water proof. They are really to be used indoors as a dust cover. I bought one several years ago and it leaked like a sieve.
Bottom line is, if you want to protect your investment, don't skimp on the cover. Pay good money and get the proper waterproof cover or go cheap and you will get what you pay for.
I learned that lesson the hard way!
Just my 2 cents.

Well...sadly my cover ripped when my husband took it off this week. It was early in the morning and it was frosty and frozen to the top. He was being nice and getting my trailer from the storage for me but unfortunately my cover was destroyed. It was the thinner version so I think I will get the Deluxe version next!

The El-Cheapo route: I go through a couple of the heavy duty plastic tarps in a Maine winter, if no really nasty windstorms tear them up...

Would this provide any protection from hail? We generally don't get much bigger than dime sized, but we do get it. The car I left in my driveway while I was on vacation a few years ago was so damaged that the insurance company just totaled it. I couldn't bear to lose my new Astrodome to that until I find a more permanent solution.
