Hello everyone...I'm looking for a little help. We own a 1960 Shasta Compact. When we bought it, it did not have a Shasta logo decal or chrome emblem on it. I would like to add them to finish up the outside of our trailer. Did the '60 compact come with a decal or an emblem? Where was it placed on the trailer? TIA!

Hi Empty Nest,
I have a 60 Compact with what I believe to be the original paint. It has two decals, one to right of the door and one in the same location on the opposite side of the trailer.

Hey ShopNut,
Thanks for the info. Do you by any chance have a photo of your decal next to the door? Thanks!!

We have a '59 Compact. Ours has decals on the front above the window, the back below the window, and to the front (left) of the door below the stripe. We had it painted, but placed the decals in the same locations as the originals. Compacts didn't have chrome emblems until the body style changed in the mid-60s. I'll see if I can find pics.

Check this for the locations on the back and side. The one in the front is centered above the window. I also think there was one on the driver's side about as far back as the one on the curb side, but I believe it was above the stripe instead of below. We didn't have enough emblems, though, so we just did the three. Here's the link: www.howiseelife.com/blog/2011/06/20/trailer/

Hot dog, found a picture! There WAS one on the driver's side, but I was wrong about the location. Looks as though it is pretty much directly opposite the one on the curb side. Here's the pic from the original ad material. www.freewebs.com/vintageshasta2/49_3.jpeg
