:-just bought /91 , 15' shasta trailer. Fridge works well on AC. not on gas. Hear and smell propane when primer is pushed. no flame will light with lighter. Sparker just stopped while attempting first ignition. Cleaned orifice in alcohol and can blow through gas lines. No flame. Any tips.? new member, I like the support.

Welcome Twisterckc,
Your fridge is newer and may have a failing circuit board or igniter. There are many more parts in a modern 91 than in vintage refrigerators. Check all parts closely. The ceramic piece should be intact, with no cracks.
There is a a thermister or thermocouple that could be failing. Also clean all electrical contacts. If nothing works, you can remove the circuit board and have it tested at an RV shop. I recommend a Dinosaur replacement if you need a board. Good Luck!

If it's just the igniter not working, Vik's right, it's probably the circuit board, you read about those failing a lot. But if everything else is good, you should be able to light the pilot with a match or lighter when the primer's pushed in.
If I read your post right, you mean that you can smell and hear gas with the primer pushed in but can't light the pilot with a cigarette lighter either? If so that's weird, and might mean that the gas is coming out of somewhere other than the pilot orifice, like a leaky line or control valve. I would try using a bottle of soapy water on all the connections to nail down where the gas is actually coming out. Can you see gas coming out of the pilot blowing your lighter flame around? You should be able to.
A bad thermocouple will make the pilot go out when you let go of the primer, and won't let the main burner light at all, but shouldn't affect anything as long as the primer is pushed in.
