I have a '76, with the later, tiny-groove-faced window frames, instead of flat, smooth frames. 14 of them. Any tips for shining them up that doesn't involve any "Fantastic Voyage" scenarios?

I like the soft polishing wheel that goes in your drill, Ace hardware has them and as well as a good polishing compound.

I just used a rag and Mother's, and a Q-tip for the corners. I did put masking tape around the windows that I didn't remove so that the black gunk wouldn't end up all over the trailer.

I tried a kit of those stacked-cotton-circle polishing wheels that came with rouge sticks, but it didn't get into the tiny grooves and shredded itself within a couple of minutes. Is that what you mean?

maybe, sounds close, it is a wheel with cotton flappers or pieces cut and put on the wheel,
maybe a dremmel tool wheel with the cotton round things on a lower speed?
believe it or not, a chocolate bar will polish aluminum.

Like Ross, we use the brass wire wheel on a drill. It works great, gets into every nook and cranny.

This ol' Florida girl just wants to clarify that "jalousie" windows are the ones that have many glass "slats," like louvers, but the windows in our 70's Shastas are called "awning" windows. This distinction might help when searching for one type or the other. Both were used in Florida in the 20th century, jalousie early and awning by the late 1950's.
