I'd plug it in and try it, I doubt you'll get many people to go for an untested fridge, since working vintage ones are so hard to find. If there's any odor of ammonia, it's toast.

I agree, which is why I am basically giving it away.. No smell of ammonia, although the pipes and fins in back are dirty, they are all structurally sound, just need a cleaning. Not looking to get anything great for it, just thought I would put it on here to see if there were any interest before it goes out in the trash.

I'm tempted, how long before you toss it? I just started working again, even Boston is out of my gas range right now.

well don't be too quick to give up on someone...if i were closer (i'm in ga) i'd be willing to trade it in unknown working condition.
