I'm not sure if the hitch jack on our '66 Compact is original, but it looks like it could be. It does still work, and since I'm on a budget I'm wondering if I can open it up and give it a good greasing to keep her going.
I'd also like to figure out how to add a caster for moving her in and out of the garage. I actually added a bolt on Harbor Freight jack on the side with a caster, but it's not exactly high quality, it's ugly and I would like to get the front down lower for pushing her up our steep little driveway (curb cut).
If it's not easy to open up I'll have to convince the CFO to spring for a new one.
Thanks! Ian

Perfect, that's great. I need to check the handle, see if it comes loose, then try removing the jack and greasing her up!!
