Springs, axles and a variety of trailer parts can be found at farm stores for a reasonable price in a variety of sizes. If you are up to the task then this would be the cheapest route I think. If you need new you might as well buy new, rather than find a donor, hard to determine what abuse a used axle has seen. Just my .02. If you are going to have someone do it, then a trailer shop is probably the best bet. Not an RV place just a regular old trailer place, where the lawn guys and farmers take their trailers for repairs. A spring shop might also be able to do the work, or even a mechanic. Just make sure that whoever does it is really attentive to detail. A trailer that doesn't have the axle aligned properly pulls and shimmies and just makes traveling miserable. It is also nice if they don't set the trailer on fire if they weld something. Red Dirt

Not sure where you are located but I'm told that you can get custom axles from www.tractorsupply.com/I haven't done this. I have read about folks getting theirs from there. Brian
