Does anyone have a Shasta that was built in Grapevine, Texas? If so, what is the VIN number? I have over 200 VIN's but not a single one from the Texas plant, thus I don't know what the beginning letter would be. Inquisitive minds would like to know Thanks for any help! Ross

Thank you so much.
I have a few from Texas, then. Based on the others that I have, your 1400 appears to be from 1975.

Glad to help! I'm a little confused tho... If my title says it is a 1973 what number indicates its a 75. What number identifies it as a 1400? What do the other numbers mean? I was looking at the VIN identification thread on the boards a while back and I could never figure out what any of the numbers meant.
It would be so much easier if it they made the VIN's like this T=Texas 14=1400 75= the year made and then the last number the order in which it was made 01= the first one ever made, 02= the second one ever made so then my VIN would be T1475??
Wouldn't that make much more since... Do you mind explaining further or link me to where I might find this info.

The best I can figure, the VIN numbers are a consecutive run and it didn't matter what Models were being built at the time or what year it was at that particular plant.
It would have simpler to have done it the way you suggested....LOL

Sorry Ross, I'm still a little confused what number indicates my trailer is a 75 and not a 73 as the title states. The PO purchased from the original owner so there was no lost paper trail.
