Hoping to go out on our first trip this afternoon!! BUT, I need some help please! There was a thread that I for the life of me cannot find! It was someone who had tested out their fantastic fan on a battery for like 3 days in their driveway and it was still running strong. I need that thread to see what size battery they used. We are buttoning everything up now, getting ready to get a battery and box and get on the road! SO excited!! Thank you for your help!!

Some people prefer to use Deep Cycle and some prefer Marine batteries. I am sure that you read this thread, but if not, here it is: vintageshasta.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=batteries&action=display&thread=4828I have always used car batteries in my campers. I like the Maxx Fans and in our teardrop, we have run the roof fan for 5 days (at night) and still had power in the battery....not much though. Have fun on your maiden voyage.

Have a great time on your maiden voyage! Did you find the battery information? I am looking for what it installed in Sundance but not sure I can find it quickly. Where are you going? Barbara

Deep Cycle 12 volt, series 24. About 405 CCA. Not real spendy, $68 at Wally World.
With a good maintainer (NOT a trickle charger) I've had these batteries last 8 years and more...

Thank you all so much! We decided to stay close for our first night. So, just went to a park about an hour away called France Park. We have a lotta kinks to work out. What to bring, where to store stuff, etc. But we had SO MUCH FUN! So excited our Shasta is campable!!! We never expected people to react the way they did! WOW.
